 Gift with purchase

GWP promotions are created using the following Item Discount out of the box templates:

 

Each promotion type allows business users to create global and coupon based promotions, set auto-remove from bag rules, exclude items from the promotion, and create stacking rules. The free gift offer already exist in the system. For Novelty GWP items, the ‘Novelty Product Flag’ set to ‘Yes’.

4 types are there.
1)Gift with purchase
2)Buy item x Get Gift with purchase
3)Spent y get GWP
4)Spent y in X get GWP.


In all cases, the gift item can be removed automatically if the item is added automatically if the remove automatically configuration is optioned.

1)Gift with purchase

      If we purchase any item ,  configured(at offer template at BCC) gift item is given.

2)Buy item x Get Gift with purchase

 If we buy item x, the configured(at offer template at BCC) item is treated as GWP.
We can specify the items x  and no of items in condition template and even we can add AND or OR operation .And gift item can configured at offer template.


3)Spent y get GWP

If we spent y, the configured(at offer template at BCC) item is treated as GWP. Here the amount should be at item level not order level.


4)Spent y in X get GWP.
 This promotion provides the customer with a free gift when the customer spends a specified amount of money in the specified product group.The spent can be Categories,products, SKUs.


Products identified as gifts do not count toward the Spend Y total.
optionally , we can specify the promotion up-sell. But to display the up-sell message whenever the amount spent is closer to the qualified amount, JSP need to implement to display the message.

Additional items for consideration:

 Auto-add functionality only works at the SKU level

 Employee and GWP promotion exclusions are handled using stacking rules

On creating project , Commerce Merchandising >Commerce Assets >Promotions&coupons >promotions

 Enter Promotion Name, click Template, and select Buy Item X, Get GWP from the dropdown

 Upon template selection, the Condition and offer section expands

 In the Condition section, enter No of items to Buy, select qualifying item(s), and select item(s) to exclude [if applicable]

 Follow the steps below for Novelty GWPs:  

o In the Offer section, select novelty GWP item

o Confirm Auto Remove from Cart? is set to Yes, remove

 

 Follow the steps below for Gift Card GWPs:

o In the Offer section, select Gift Card

o Confirm Auto Remove from Cart? is set to Yes, remove

o Scroll down to the General section, click GWPGiftCardAmount, and enter Gift Card value

 Select Availability & Coupons tab and click to expand Promotion Availability section. By default, Requires Customer Action is selected. Select an option based on the promotion requirements

o When a promotion code is required, select Requires customer action (any user)

o When a promotion code is required and intended for logged in users, select Requires customer action (registered users only)

o When a promotion code is not required, select Available to everyone

 Click to expand Usage period section and select Start date and End date

 Save and deploy the promotion

  3 Steps – Create Spend Y, Get GWP Promotion

 Login to BCC and select Commerce Assets from the left navigation [Commerce Merchandising > Commerce Assets]

 Enter a Project Name and click Continue

 Navigate to Promotions & Coupons > Promotions

 Enter Promotion Name, click Template, and select Spend Y, Get GWP from the dropdown

 Upon template selection, the Condition and offer section expands

 In the Condition section, enter the minimum amount spent to redeem promotion

 Follow the steps below for Novelty GWPs:

o In the Offer section, select novelty GWP item

o Confirm Auto Remove from Cart? is set to Yes, remove

 Follow the steps below for Gift Card GWPs:

o In the Offer section, select Gift Card

o Confirm Auto Remove from Cart? is set to Yes, remove

o Scroll down to the General section, click GWPGiftCardAmount, and enter Gift Card value

4 Steps – Create Spend Y in X, Get GWP Promotion

 

 Login to BCC and select Commerce Assets from the left navigation

o Confirm Auto Remove from Cart? is set to Yes, remove
